CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)

A long-popular fat-loss supplement whose human results are, honestly, negligible.

EVIDENCE
Limited
TYPICAL DOSE
3–6 g daily is the studied range, with little to show for it
TIMING
With meals.
WHAT IT IS

A group of fatty acids found naturally in meat and dairy, sold in concentrated form for body-fat reduction.

WHY (OR WHY NOT)

Animal studies looked promising; human results are underwhelming — the average effect on body fat is tiny and often not meaningful in real life. Not something to rely on for fat loss.

CAUTIONS
  • !Don't expect real fat loss — diet and a calorie deficit do the work.
  • !Can cause digestive upset; some concern over insulin sensitivity at high doses.
