High-Protein Turkey Chilli

The classic athlete batch-cook — lean turkey, beans and tomato in one pot. Makes four, freezes flat, and reheats into a 40 g-protein dinner in minutes.

INGREDIENTS
  1. 500 g lean turkey mince (or 5% beef)
  2. 2 tins (480 g) kidney or black beans
  3. 400 g chopped tomatoes
  4. 1 onion, 3 cloves garlic, 1 pepper
  5. 1 tbsp oil, 2 tsp cumin, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp chilli, salt
METHOD
  1. 01Brown the turkey in the oil, then set aside.
  2. 02Soften the onion, garlic and pepper, add the spices for a minute.
  3. 03Return the turkey with the tomatoes and beans, and simmer 20–25 minutes until thick.
  4. 04Portion into four. Serve as-is, over rice, or with a jacket potato.
NOTES & SWAPS

Four servings, macros for the chilli alone. Freezes brilliantly. Top with Greek yogurt instead of soured cream for extra protein.
